Purpose The Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the
Health Department on all issues related to the County Health
Department and its programs.

Member Specifications Residents of the County, eight of
which are appointed by the executive, subject to County Council
confirmation. One member is appointed by County Council for a term of
one calendar year. One Board of Health member, two from the natural
sciences (one from higher education), one physician, one from
business/industry, one Tribal member, one from education, two from the areas of administration/fiscal, nursing, or hospital affiliation; and one citizen-at-large member.
