Special Council and committee meetings may be scheduled with 24 hours notice, and cancelled at any time.  The schedule on this web page is kept as up-to-date as possible.  However, please call the County Council Office at (360)676-6690 to confirm the meeting schedule.

Time for public comment is scheduled during regular Tuesday evening Council meetings during Open Session and public hearings.  For all other committees and special meetings, public comments may be taken at the discretion of the chair.

REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS FOR 2013

The Whatcom County Council meets every other Tuesday evening (with the exception of a break in August and December) at 7:00 pm in  the Council Chambers at the Courthouse. Regular meetings are open to the public and are scheduled for the following dates in 2013:

Lake Whatcom Joint Policy Group:

The Lake Whatcom Joint Policy Group includes representatives from the Bellingham City Council, Whatcom County Council, the Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District Board of Commissioners, as well as staff from the Interjurisdictional Coordinating Team. This group meets once a month to discuss Lake Whatcom policy topics and to provide policy guidance and direction to staff working on Lake Whatcom.

Meetings are generally scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The January through May meetings will be held in the Fireside Room at 625 Halleck Street, Muni Court Building. (E. Side), Bellingham. The June through December meetings will be held at the Whatcom County Civic Center Building, Garden Room, at 322 N. Commercial Street, Bellingham.
