County
Council Office business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is closed on County holidays and closure days. The councilmembers
do not keep regular office hours, however the Council staff is always
available during business hours to receive comments, answer questions,
and provide access to information.
Through the Council
Office, citizens may purchase copies of documents, meeting audio CDs,
and DVD’s of the regular evening County Council meetings. The cost
is set in the Whatcom County Unified Fee Schedule. Costs in 2012:
- Paper copies are $.15
- CD and DVD copies are $8 each
There
is no cost to examine the public record in the Council Office during
business hours.
Members
of the community who require special assistance to participate in
County Council meetings shall contact our office at least 96 hours
in advance of the meeting to enable the Council Office staff to
make necessary arrangements.
