What We Do
District Court Probation (DCP) provides adult probation
services for offenders charged with misdemeanors in the
Whatcom County District Court and some Municipal Courts that
contract with Whatcom County, currently the City of Bellingham,
City of Lynden, City of Everson, and City of Sumas.
We provide pre- and post- sentence investigations to the
court with sentence recommendations.
We supervise probation conditions that hold offenders accountable
and impact their behavior in the community. Conditions
include treatment for alcohol and drug abuse, domestic violence,
mental health, sexual deviancy and restitution to victims.
In the future, our web site will help you answer commonly
asked questions, provide maps and various forms.
Courthouse Closure Information
District Court Probation will not be open to the public on closure days.
