Healthy Schools
Whatcom County Health Department is committed to supporting our local schools. The Healthy Schools Program aims to support schools in the education of children by promoting and protecting the health of their students, staff and school environments. We aim to make connections between schools and community resources, to make available local data to schools and to work towards making our schools healthy community places. We promote the use of best practice strategies in schools such as use of the Coordinated School Health model to maximize health and educational opportunities for all students.
